Role Description

Manage and optimize GitHub Enterprise environments, including:

• Repository strategy
• Branching models (GitFlow, trunk-based)
• Pull request governance
• Access control
• Issue/project tracking

Design, implement, and maintain GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines, integrating with:

• Azure App Service
• Azure Functions
• AKS
• Azure Container Apps

• Manage artifacts, secrets, and environment promotion.

Enable and manage GitHub Advanced Security, including:

• Code scanning
• Secret scanning
• Dependency review
• Vulnerability remediation workflows

Promote developer productivity through GitHub Copilot, implementing:

• Adoption strategies
• Governance
• Code generation
• Refactoring
• Testing
• Documentation practices

Design and develop cloud-native applications on Azure, including:

• Microservices
• Modular architectures
• Event-driven architectures

• Utilize App Service, Functions, Container Apps, AKS, and Azure API Management.

Write and maintain application code in:

• .NET/C#
• Python
• Node.js
• Java

• Implement RESTful APIs, authentication, and authorization with Entra ID.

Lead DevOps and platform engineering practices, including:

• End-to-end CI/CD
• Infrastructure as Code (Bicep, ARM, Terraform)
• Environment provisioning
• Monitoring (Azure Monitor, Application Insights)
• Logging
• Scaling
• Resiliency

Build and integrate AI-enabled applications and developer workflows, leveraging:

• Azure OpenAI
• Azure AI Services
• Prompt engineering
• Semantic orchestration frameworks (where applicable)

Ensure security, governance, and compliance, including:

• Zero Trust design
• Least privilege access
• Secrets management via Azure Key Vault
• Secure pipelines
• Enterprise compliance alignment

Deliver partner-facing application innovation engagements, including:

• Independently designing, building, deploying, and troubleshooting production-grade solutions
• Creating reusable IP, accelerators, and templates

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with GitHub Enterprise, including repository management, branching strategies, pull request governance, access control, and project tracking.
• Expertise in GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines and Azure integrations (App Service, Functions, AKS, Container Apps); artifact, secrets, and environment management.
• Proficient with GitHub Advanced Security (code scanning, secret scanning, dependency review) and GitHub Copilot for developer productivity and code automation.
• Strong experience in cloud-native application development on Azure, including microservices, API-first design, and serverless/containerized workloads.
• Hands-on coding experience in .NET/C#, Python, Node.js, or Java, with RESTful APIs and authentication/authorization via Entra ID.
• Skilled in DevOps and platform engineering, including IaC (Bicep, ARM, Terraform), monitoring, logging, scaling, and resiliency best practices.
• Knowledge of AI-assisted application development using Azure AI/OpenAI, prompt engineering, and semantic orchestration frameworks.
• Strong focus on security, governance, and compliance, with experience in Zero Trust, secrets management, secure pipelines, and enterprise compliance.
