Role Description

CTG is seeking to fill an IBM z/OS Migration Consultant – IMU/EZT position for our client.

• Lead and support Easytrieve Plus (EZT) to COBOL migration projects using IBM Migration Utility (IMU).
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot IMU on IBM z/OS systems.
• Analyze, convert, and validate Easytrieve Plus applications to COBOL.
• Provide technical support and problem determination for IMU-related issues.
• Assist clients with diagnosing and resolving conversion errors.
• Conduct IMU training sessions and develop technical presentation materials.
• Collaborate with IBM teams and client stakeholders to support successful project delivery.
• Document migration processes, best practices, and technical resolutions.

Qualifications

• IBM z/OS, TSO/ISPF, SDSF, and JCL.
• IBM Migration Utility (IMU) and conversion methods.
• Easytrieve Plus (EZT).
• COBOL.
• DB2 and/or IMS environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem determination skills.
• Excellent customer-facing communication and presentation skills.
• Microsoft Word and standard presentation tools.

Requirements

• Strong application development or system programming background.
• Proven installation and migration experience on IBM z/OS.
• Hands-on experience with IBM Migration Utility (IMU).
• Experience converting Easytrieve Plus applications to COBOL.
• Experience conducting technical training and knowledge-transfer sessions.
• Ability to work effectively with customers, IBM teams, and technical stakeholders.

Benefits

• The expected base salary for this position ranges from $90.00 to $110.00/hour.
• Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
