Role Description

As a Google Cloud Platform Developer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust data solutions that leverage the capabilities of Google BigQuery and the Google Cortex Framework.

• Your primary focus will be on custom development to create scalable data models within BigQuery, ensuring these models are optimized for use by business analysts and can seamlessly feed into downstream visualizations and reporting tools.
• You will work closely with metadata and knowledge catalog systems, applying medallion architecture principles to structure and manage data efficiently throughout its lifecycle.
• Your day-to-day tasks will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions that drive actionable insights.
• To excel in this role, you should be comfortable working with a variety of development version control tools, including Jenkins for continuous integration, Git and GitHub for source code management, and VSCode as your primary development environment.
• Experience with Google Dataform will be valuable for orchestrating data workflows, while strong SQL skills are essential for querying and transforming large datasets.
• Familiarity with metadata management and cataloging processes will help you maintain high data quality and governance standards.
• Exposure to medallion architecture concepts will enable you to design data pipelines that are both resilient and scalable, supporting the evolving needs of the business.

Qualifications

• Experience with Google BigQuery and the Google Cortex Framework.
• Strong SQL skills for querying and transforming large datasets.
• Familiarity with metadata management and cataloging processes.
• Experience with Google Dataform for orchestrating data workflows.
• Comfortable with development version control tools like Jenkins, Git, and GitHub.

Requirements
