[Hiring] GIS Data Engineer @Advian

Role Description

As a GIS Data Engineer, you will design, develop and maintain geospatial systems together with our customers and other Advians. You will work hands-on with geospatial data and take ownership of selected solutions, with support from experienced colleagues as you get familiar with them.

Your responsibilities include:

• Designing and implementing geospatial data pipelines and integrations
• Developing and continuously improving GIS solutions
• Taking ownership of selected solutions and their development
• Working closely with customers and other Advian experts
• Identifying and bringing forward ideas for improvement, automation and new technologies

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with FME and building data pipelines
• Experience with open-source GIS technologies such as QGIS, GeoServer and Oskari
• Experience with databases, especially PostgreSQL/PostGIS
• Good skills in Python and SQL
• Fluent Finnish (must have) and English

Requirements

• Experience with AWS or Azure and Docker (considered a plus)
• Knowledge of OGC standards (considered a plus)
• Experience with software development and version control (considered a plus)
• Experience with point cloud processing and related tools (considered a plus)

• Permanent and full-time position (part-time work also possible)
• Location: Espoo or remotely from anywhere in Finland
