Role Description

Our client is a leading technology solutions provider specialising in innovative IT solutions for the events, conferences, exhibitions and corporate meeting industry. Established with the goal of transforming event management through technology, the company develops customised, user-friendly systems that enhance event experiences through solutions such as online registration, delegate tracking, software development and digital event platforms.

LOCATION: Remote

Note: you will have to occasionally go to the Randburg office for team gatherings and company social events.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance and maintain ASP.NET Web Forms applications
• Develop application functionality using VB.NET and C#
• Work across both front-end and back-end development
• Design, develop and maintain SQL Server database functionality
• Write and maintain T-SQL queries, stored procedures and related database components
• Troubleshoot and optimise SQL queries and application performance
• Develop integrations with third-party APIs and external services
• Integrate with payment gateways, messaging platforms and related systems
• Investigate and resolve application bugs and production issues
• Develop new functionality and enhance existing application modules
• Participate in the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
• Write clean, maintainable and reliable code
• Participate in code reviews
• Create and maintain HTML email templates
• Collaborate with project managers and other team members
• Participate in daily team stand-ups
• Assist with technical client support queries when required
• Help ensure project and event deadlines are met

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, relevant IT diploma, or equivalent proven commercial development experience
• Minimum 3–5 years' commercial web development experience
• Strong ASP.NET Web Forms experience
• Strong experience with VB.NET and/or C#
• Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server
• Good knowledge of T-SQL
• Experience with Complex SQL queries, Joins, Stored procedures, Data troubleshooting and Query optimisation
• Experience with full-stack web development
• Good working knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript
• Experience debugging and supporting production web applications
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to investigate and resolve technical issues independently
• Ability to work effectively in a remote environment
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to occasionally go to Randburg for company social events
• Own reliable transport and license

Salary

R 30 000- R 45 000 p/m
