[Hiring] Full Stack Engineer @Alongside

Role Description

We're looking for a Fullstack Engineer with a strong frontend focus to join the development of a real-time, data-driven platform.

Most of your work will focus on the React Native driver app, Mapbox GL JS features and the web-based admin portal, while also contributing to C#/.NET backend services when needed.

You'll work on interactive, real-time experiences involving live location, sensor and asset data, with a strong focus on performance and usability.

Responsibilities: Frontend (Primary)

• Build and maintain the React Native driver app: QR onboarding/consent flows, GPS/BLE data display
• Implement Mapbox GL JS features: live position overlays, zone/dwell visualization, realtime map layers
• Own frontend performance and reliability for realtime, sensor-driven UI

Responsibilities: Backend (Secondary)

• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services in C#/.NET
• Support GPS/BLE positioning data ingestion pipelines
• Support telemetry ingestion and zone/dwell analytics processing
• Work within an actor-model distributed backend (built on Microsoft Orleans) designed by the tech lead

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of professional software development experience
• Strong experience with React and/or React Native, with solid knowledge of modern frontend development practices
• Experience building interactive, data-driven user interfaces
• Experience with Mapbox GL JS or other mapping/geospatial technologies such as Leaflet or Google Maps is highly valued
• Experience consuming and integrating REST APIs
• Comfortable working with real-time data, such as WebSockets, live updates, telemetry or similar
• Some professional experience with C#/.NET, or a strong willingness to work with it as part of a fullstack role
• Strong written and spoken English for daily collaboration with a distributed team

Requirements

• Familiarity with distributed systems / actor-model concepts (e.g., Orleans, Akka)
• Experience with BLE positioning or beacon technology
• Background in industrial, logistics, or IoT/telemetry domains
• Security-conscious development practices (authentication, PII handling)
