[Hiring] Full Stack Engineer @MWDN

Role Description

We're looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer to join our engineering team and help build and improve an AI-powered platform for code analysis and modernization. You’ll work with complex legacy codebases, using your expertise in Java and modern architectures to reverse engineer existing systems and help transform them into modern, scalable solutions.

• This role combines software engineering, AI, and product thinking.
• You’ll work hands-on with the platform, provide feedback on its capabilities, and help shape new features and workflows for modernizing legacy applications.

Qualifications

• 5 years of full-stack development experience, with strong backend experience in Java.
• Experience working with legacy systems and large or poorly documented codebases.
• Experience with a modern frontend framework, such as React, Vue, or Angular.
• Experience with migrations, upgrades, or monolith-to-microservices projects.
• Strong testing experience: characterization tests, parity checks, safe refactoring.
• Daily use of AI coding tools, with the ability to evaluate their output critically.
• At least Upper-Intermediate level of English.

Requirements

• Experience with MCP servers or building context for AI agents (Nice to Have).
• Experience with gradual migration techniques, such as moving functionality piece by piece and switching between old and new code safely (Nice to Have).
• JavaScript/TypeScript, COBOL, or mainframe exposure (Nice to Have).
• Experience working on client sites or inside a client’s team (Nice to Have).
