Role Description

We are seeking a Full Stack Engineer to join our dynamic Health Engineering Solutions (HES) team. In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Working with a team of engineers to build enterprise-level backend solutions using a variety of technologies.
• Developing robust and scalable applications that support the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
• Utilizing technologies such as React, Node, JavaScript, and OpenAPI.
• Contributing to the development of a next generation reporting and analytics system that impacts healthcare quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• 5+ years of professional full-stack development experience, including experience with modern design patterns and enterprise-scale production systems.
• 1+ year of professional experience developing full-stack applications using React and Node.js.
• Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.
• Candidate must reside in the U.S. and be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Candidate must have lived in the U.S. for three (3) full years out of the last five (5) years.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of software development principles.
• Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced Agile environment.
• Experience with CI, CD, and IaC.

Key Responsibilities and Job Duties

• Design and build microservices and serverless applications in the cloud.
• Implement web application changes and/or build new web applications using the React framework.
• Work with Product Owner and UX design to understand and create solutions for diverse user requirements.
• Collaborate with Architects and other Engineers to create and implement development best practices.
• Work with the test engineering team to assure product quality.
• Participate in team code reviews and design reviews.
• Help the support team triage bugs and troubleshoot production issues.
• Cooperate with back-end developers in the application building process.
• Read specs and translate them into test designs and test automation.
• Perform code reviews and develop processes for improving code quality.
