[Hiring] Full Stack Engineer @First Connect Insurance

Role Description

The core of our business revolves around retrieving and processing vast amounts of insurance carrier data. This isn’t just about moving numbers – this data enables our most critical platform features and powers the entire agency commission cycle. You will contribute to key data domains that power our core business. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working in data-heavy environments and enjoys solving problems involving diverse data structures, real-time systems, and varying data quality.

You’ll work closely with Senior Engineers and cross-functional teams including Product, Design, Business, and Finance, helping to build, extend, and maintain the systems that support our most important business processes. We’re looking for an Engineer who enjoys working close to data, likes understanding how systems connect end-to-end, and is eager to grow by contributing to complex, real-world business problems in a collaborative environment.

What You’ll Do

• Contribute to Real-Time Data integrations and Commission systems, primarily from a backend/data perspective, with exposure to frontend data presentation and interfaces.
• Support incentive programs, including our Rewards Program (Shared Growth Plan) and other new initiatives as they evolve.
• Maintain existing data pipelines across backend and frontend systems, supporting improvements, maintenance, and incremental development where needed.
• Integrate and work with multiple data sources: Build and maintain integrations with external systems and ensure data consistency and reliability across pipelines.
• Ensure engineering quality: Write clean, maintainable code with a strong focus on testing culture.
• Leverage modern tooling and AI: Use AI tools as part of the development process, treating them as an active part of the workflow.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial experience as a fullstack developer, working comfortably on both frontend and backend.
• Comfortable using Node.js, TypeScript, React, NestJS, and PostgreSQL.
• Startup Mindset: High ownership and the ability to navigate ambiguity.
• Based in Poland with flexibility for partial US time zone overlap.
• Fluent in English (C1) and Polish (C2).

You'll Get Extra Points For

• Advanced SQL & Optimization: Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL performance tuning, indexing strategies, and handling large-scale datasets.
