Role Description

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Java application development (Java 8+).
• 3+ years of experience with:
  • Spring Boot
  • Message brokers (Kafka, MQSeries/IBM MQ, ActiveMQ)
  • REST APIs
  • Relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL)
• Proven track record of driving the end-to-end SDLC, from initial requirements gathering and system design to automated deployment and production monitoring.
• Experience making high-stakes decisions on tech stacks and managing technical debt across the software lifecycle.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and Agile methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with cloud-native architectures (Azure, GCP, or AWS).
• Strong understanding of security, performance, and scalability best practices.
• Excellent communication skills and experience working with cross-functional teams.
• Understanding software design patterns and SOLID principles.
• English intermediate.
• Location, less than 2 hours of difference of CST.

Qualifications

• Nice to Have:
  • Development and integration of ETL/ELT processes using tools such as SSIS, Apache Airflow, or similar.
  • Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude, etc.) as part of the software development lifecycle.
