[Hiring] Full Stack Developer @Sonas

Role Description

Sonas is an all-in-one platform for wedding venue owners, built to support their marketing, sales, and events teams so they can consistently deliver perfect weddings. Our stack is Meteor, Blaze & MongoDB.

We are looking for a curious Full Stack Developer who:

• Wants to understand why something broke rather than just patch it.
• Reads source code before documentation.
• Pokes around a database to understand the data before writing a query.
• Occasionally disappears down a rabbit hole due to curiosity.

You will:

• Build features and fix bugs.
• Engage with real users.
• Occasionally wrestle with DevOps.

This is a full-time role. We prefer someone based in or near Madrid (we have an office there), but we are open to remote candidates within EU time zones.

Qualifications

• Strong working experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Comfortable with MongoDB: writing queries, creating indexes, reasoning about data.
• Solid JavaScript fundamentals, including writing tests and documentation (bonus if you know Jest or Playwright).
• HTML, CSS, SCSS, Bootstrap (maybe Tailwind soon).
• Git skills that create flow, not chaos.

Requirements

• Experience with MeteorJS (a big plus).
• Familiarity with AWS services like EC2, Lambda, SNS, and S3.
• Experience with Stripe, Zapier, or accounting tools like Xero or QuickBooks.
• Exposure to React, Vue, or Svelte (we currently use Blaze but plan to migrate).
• Comfortable communicating in English.
