[Hiring] Frontend Software Engineer @Taxfix

Role Description

In this role, you’ll be one of the frontend technology specialists at Taxfix, mainly working on our UK part of the product. This is an excellent opportunity for a quality-minded software developer to have a significant impact on the systems, processes and tools driving a rapidly growing product.

• Join a cross-functional product team of engineers and designers.
• Write and ship high-quality code while getting up to speed with the needs of the business.
• Proactively collaborate with multiple teams to integrate company ideas into the product.
• Play a pivotal role in evolving the Spanish product into the go-to solution for individuals and small businesses.
• Tackle challenges unique to the Spanish tax landscape and help scale services to a broader audience.

Responsibilities

• Write and ship consistently high-quality code to meet product requirements.
• Take pride in and responsibility for your work, from initial development to post-release.
• Proactively seek to understand business and technical requirements, offering your own suggestions and ideas where possible.
• Provide considerate and constructive feedback on your teammates’ work, and receive the same.
• Collaborate with marketing and customer support teams to help company-wide initiatives.
• Contribute to the culture of customer-focused product development across the company and group.

Qualifications

• Proficient with React on the Frontend.
• Familiar with generative AI tools.
• Professional experience of building robust and scalable APIs.
• Familiar with software development processes, tools and concepts, such as Agile, Kanban, Git, CI/CD, DevOps etc.
• Curious, proactive, approachable and collaborative.
• Strong communication skills.
• Quality and testing are at the top of your mind, with an understanding of the importance of provable confidence in work through unit, integration and other kinds of automated testing.
