[Hiring] Fractional CTO / Technical Advisor @Cue AI

Role Description

We’re a stealth-mode team quietly re-imagining how people interact with large language models. If you’ve taken an AI idea from blank repo to Series A and love mentoring engineers in short async bursts, we’d love to meet you.

Engagement Tiers

• Tier 1 — Mentor (≈1–3 h/week, mostly async): Daily Slack check-ins, design & PR reviews, technical sign-off.
• Tier 2 — Builder (≈3–10 h/week, weekly touch-points): Deeper architecture work, pair sessions, roadmap co-ownership.
• Tier 3 — Partner (10 h+/week, high-touch): Strategic leadership, investor calls, hiring, potential Co-Founder or long-term advisor/board member.

(Tier 1 and 2 equity defined and discussed if selected — the more you lean in, the more upside.)

What You Will Do

• Be online daily at 15:00 CET to review Slack questions (async).
• Act as fractional CTO & technical sounding board — advise on architecture, review Epics, tasks & PRs.
• Shape the roadmap — balance features vs. tech-debt with the founder & senior advisors.
• Mentor — level-up our engineers on GenAI best practices and help interview early hires.

Qualifications

• Built & led an engineering org from first dev to at least Series A (≈0–30 people).
• Raised capital (founder, CTO, or key participant) and speak fluently with investors.
• Shipped AI/LLM-powered products in production — bonus for local-models or streaming systems.
• Full-stack fluency: TypeScript/React, Python, LLM-ops, deployment, and cloud/edge infra.
• Great async communicator who can unblock a team quickly over Slack/GitHub.
• Based in Prague/CZ or comfortable working CET hours.
