[Hiring] Forward Deployed Engineer @Snowplow

Role Description

Snowplow is rebuilding how the company runs its own work. AI-native transformation is the operating priority for the business, and the Applied AI team owns it:

• The platform every team's AI work runs on.
• The pattern for how a function's critical workflows move onto agents.
• The measurement of whether it worked.

You are the first Forward Deployed Engineer on the team, reporting to the Senior Director of Applied AI. The team is also hiring a principal engineer to own the platform and an Applied AI engineer to embed with our Growth team.

Your responsibilities include:

• Mapping how the work actually runs.
• Building the agentic workflow that takes it on.
• Tuning it with the experts until they trust it.
• Handing it back to the function to own.

You will engage with major business functions, one at a time, and your workflow maps will serve as evidence for decision-making.

• Shipped real software in someone else's stack.
• Built with LLMs in production.
• An AI-native way of working you can show us.
• Sat with non-engineers and understood their work.
• Self-direction and comfort with ambiguity.
• The instinct to hand off.
• Low ego.
• Clear communication with senior stakeholders.
• A track record you can talk through.

Requirements

• Fluent in at least one of Python, TypeScript, or Go.
• Experience designing agents or agentic workflows that run real work.
• Active listening skills to understand processes from non-engineers.
