[Hiring] Forward Deployed Engineer @Pragmatike

Role Description

Pragmatike is recruiting on behalf of a fast-growing technology company building advanced AI-powered infrastructure and products for enterprise customers. We are seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer with YC start up experience who can work directly with customers to solve complex technical problems, translate real-world requirements into production systems, and accelerate the adoption of the company's technology. This is a highly technical, customer-facing engineering role combining software development, systems thinking, product feedback, and hands-on implementation.

What You'll Do

• Work directly with customers to understand technical requirements and operational challenges.
• Build, deploy, and customize production solutions in customer environments.
• Develop integrations, automation, APIs, and internal tooling.
• Translate customer feedback into actionable product and engineering requirements.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues across application and infrastructure layers.
• Partner closely with Product and Engineering to improve platform capabilities.
• Own projects from technical discovery through deployment and iteration.
• Develop reusable solutions that can scale across multiple customers.
• Improve deployment processes, documentation, observability, and reliability.
• Act as a technical advisor and trusted engineering partner to customers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong programming experience in Python, TypeScript, Go, or similar languages.
• Experience building and deploying production software.
• Strong systems, API, integration, and debugging skills.
• Experience working directly with customers or cross-functional stakeholders.
• Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
• Strong communication and technical problem-solving skills.
• High ownership and ability to independently drive projects.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI/ML systems or infrastructure.
• Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure experience.
• Experience at a startup or scale-up.
• Experience deploying software into complex enterprise environments.
• Experience with LLMs, model serving, or AI agents.
• Experience building developer tooling or automation.
