[Hiring] Fast/GenTax Programmer @Knowledge Services

Role Description

Knowledge Services is currently seeking an experienced (remote) Fast/GenTax Programmer for a long-term contract supporting the State of Maine through June 2027 (potential for extension). Applicants must be currently based in either the EST or CST time zones.

Fast/GenTax Programmer Responsibilities:

• The Programmer will be assigned job assignments to configure the STARS application.
• Responsible for analysis, design, coding, testing, and documentation.
• Code enhancements and develop required fixes to production problems using the functional and technical programming standards of the GenTax system.
• Tool set will include C#, PostgreSQL, and Visual Studio.
• Execute the required steps for implementing SQR change requests in the FAST Gentax system and tracking changes in the Fast Central Repository (FCR) following the project standards.
• Coordinate work with other software developers.
• Participate in structured code reviews and walkthroughs.
• Execute all responsibilities with little direct supervision of a team leader.
• Services are essential to improve efficiency and accuracy of tax processing.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of programming experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with one of the following FAST ENTERPRISES, LLC technology systems: GenTax, Fast DS-VS, Fast UI-PL, or Fast CSE.
• Experience with Fast Core components.
• C#.
• PostgreSQL.
• Visual Studio.
