Role Description

We are seeking a hands-on Drupal Developer with strong experience in Microsoft SQL Server (MS SQL) to design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications. The ideal candidate will have experience working in CMS-driven environments, integrating backend systems, and supporting production systems in both legacy and modern architectures.

• Design, develop, and maintain Drupal-based web applications and portals
• Build and customize Drupal modules, themes, and APIs
• Maintain and optimize MS SQL and/or SQL Server database objects (stored procedures, views, functions)
• Write efficient, scalable, and secure SQL queries for data-driven applications
• Integrate Drupal applications with external systems, APIs, and third-party services
• Troubleshoot and resolve application, database, and performance issues
• Support data migration, data synchronization, and ETL processes
• Implement security best practices for web and database layers
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DBAs, DevOps, and infrastructure teams
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities
• Maintain technical documentation and ensure compliance with project standards
• Provide production support, monitoring, and issue resolution

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Drupal development (Drupal 8/9/10 preferred)
• Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server / MS SQL
• Expertise in SQL development, query tuning, and performance optimization
• Proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Drupal frameworks
• Experience with RESTful APIs and system integrations
• Strong troubleshooting skills across application and database layers
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Familiarity with version control tools (Git)
• Experience in production support and maintenance environments

Requirements

• Experience with Drupal migrations, upgrades, or re-platforming projects
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Experience with federal or government contracting environments
• Understanding of security compliance standards (e.g., NIST, FedRAMP)
