Role Description

As an Innovative Data Platform Digital Solution Engineer (DSE), you will play a pivotal role in helping enterprises unlock the full potential of Microsoft’s cloud database and analytics stack across every stage of deployment. You’ll collaborate closely with engineering leaders and platform teams to accelerate the Fabric Data Platform, including Cloud & AI Databases and Analytics, through hands-on engagements like Proof of Concepts, hackathons, and architecture workshops. Responsibilities

• Build Strategy:
  • Acts as the voice of the customer (VOC) by driving new feedback, blockers, insights, and resources across territories.
  • Represents the customer to product teams to shape products and services.
  • Captures core customer compete knowledge and delivers back to product and engineering teams.
  • Provides strategic, technical, and partner input to contribute to strategy development.
  • Works with account teams to shape strategic customer win strategy.
  • Monitors and analyzes action plans to promote customer usage of key Microsoft solutions/products.
• Scale Customer Engagements:
  • Uses knowledge of customer context and technical expertise to build credibility with customers.
  • Engages with engineering, product, and support teams to remediate blockers.
  • Ensures consistency and quality of engagements through adherence to standards and best practices.
  • Proactively helps to maximize impact of customer engagements.
  • Identifies customer needs and issues through technical discovery.
• Scale Through Partners:
  • Engages in partner sell-with scenarios and supports the development of relationships with pre-sale teams and partners.
  • Self-identifies and selects top partners for proactive engagement in opportunities.
• Solution Design and Proof:
  • Presents and customizes architecture patterns to partners or customers.
  • Demonstrates and oversees demonstrations of solutions based on multiple Microsoft products.
  • Reviews partner demonstrations and provides feedback to ensure alignment with Microsoft standards.
• Technical Leadership:
  • Monitors and responds to tech community posts and acts as a mentor.
  • Conducts group training or events to educate customers and colleagues on Microsoft solutions/products.
  • Grows domain knowledge by communicating with customers, partners, and senior colleagues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field AND 4+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience OR equivalent experience.
• Advanced English level.
• Proven experience with data platform services, including Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.
• Hands-on expertise in data migration and modernization strategies.
• Practical knowledge of Microsoft Fabric components, such as OneLake, Data Warehouse, and Real-Time Intelligence.
• Experience with advanced analytics and governance tools, including Azure Databricks, Synapse Analytics, and Purview.
• Advanced proficiency in visualization and reporting, leveraging Power BI.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field AND 8+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience OR equivalent experience.
• 4+ years experience with cloud and hybrid, or on-premises infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, industry standards, and/or technology management.
• Certification in relevant (Microsoft or industry) technologies or disciplines.
