[Hiring] Developer – Digital Products, AI & Innovation @Greenhouse Communications

Role Description

Help us build the next chapter of Greenhouse. We’re looking for an experienced developer to join us – initially on a three-month contract but with strong potential to extend, to help scale and accelerate this next stage of our product and technology capability.

This is not a conventional agency development role. You’ll work alongside a highly experienced team of strategists, product thinkers and developers to build client products, internal systems and AI-enabled services that support meaningful, real-world outcomes. The role combines hands-on development with the opportunity to shape how technology, automation and AI are integrated across the business and our client work.

We’re looking for someone entrepreneurial, highly capable and excited by innovation. Someone who enjoys building, experimenting and solving complex challenges in a fast-moving environment with genuine purpose behind the work.

Qualifications

• Strong JavaScript fundamentals
• Experience building digital products, websites or applications
• Confidence working with APIs and integrations
• Backend experience with Node, Python or similar
• Experience shipping real-world projects end-to-end
• Curiosity about AI and emerging technologies
• Comfort working in ambiguity and moving quickly

Requirements

• Experience integrating AI into products or workflows (bonus points)
• No/low-code experience (Webflow etc.) (bonus points)
• Agency experience (bonus points)
• Product-thinking mindset (bonus points)
• Experience with AI coding tools such as Claude Code or Codex (bonus points)
• Strong opinions on where custom development adds value versus off-the-shelf tools (bonus points)
