Role Description

This role involves developing and implementing a set of techniques or analytics applications to transform raw data into meaningful information using data-oriented programming languages and visualization software.

• Support Life Sciences operations, product builds, data delivery and platform maintenance activities
• Manage AWS Cloud infrastructure using Terraform and CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins
• Design, build and test RedShift/EMR code and underlying AWS infrastructure to support ETL (extract-transform-load) processing in our CI/CD pipeline
• Monitor performance and take corrective action to improve results and reconcile discrepancies between the expectations of the business and the structure of the data
• Collaborate with analytics’ and other teams to determine how current processing methods can be optimized, scaled, and improved
• Provide informed feedback for database design and data model decisions
• Support monthly/weekly data warehouse build process
• Provide code review
• Document technical design, test plans and other elements

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field
• One (1) year of experience in the job offered or in a Engineer-related occupation

Requirements

• AWS cloud operations
• Writing SQL
• Spark (Python and/or Scala)
• Software development tools and technologies such as Git, Jenkins, and Agile development
• Managing Terraform code to build and modify AWS Cloud infrastructure
• AWS S3 (Bucket policies, Life Cycle policies)
• IAM, Redshift, EMR, Lambda functions, Step functions, EC2, EBS Volumes, and Networking
• Healthcare or life science experience
