Role Description

Role: COBOL IBM Mainframe Developer

Location: Remote

Duration: 12+ Months

Experience Needed: 5+ Years

Note: Candidate must have hands-on experience with COBOL, IMS, JCL, and Expediter, including IMS DL/I Expediter. Experience with Microsoft COBOL and Java Enterprise Edition (Java EE/J2EE) is also required.

Qualifications

• Integrated Eligibility System - Online and Batch program development experience using COBOL and IMS JCL Expediter
• IMS DL/I Expediter
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments
• Technical Design
• Application Program Code

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years programming experience in designing and developing enterprise applications using COBOL and IMS DB/DC on IBM Mainframe under Z/OS, Telon, ISPF, PDF, and JCL
• Hands-on experience with all aspects of designing, developing, testing, and implementing Mainframe IMS/COBOL programs for online transactions and batch programs
• Solid troubleshooting and debugging skills
• Strong communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and complete projects on deadline
• Good in technical design documentation and testing
