[Hiring] Cloud Engineer III @Ad Hoc

Role Description

Cloud Engineer III serves as an experienced individual contributor within a team, with minimal oversight from leadership. You will be responsible for supporting our client's needs, particularly in Cloud.gov and Azure environments. A Cloud Engineer III impacts the long-term goals of the program while contributing to the implementation of the program’s development strategy. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, automating, and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure tailored to meet the specific requirements of our client.

• Design and deploy robust cloud solutions using Cloud.gov and Azure to address client needs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud technologies
• Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure performance and availability
• Implement and maintain security measures to protect cloud environments
• Automate operational tasks to enhance efficiency and scalability of cloud systems
• Collaborate with various teams to ensure successful integration of cloud solutions

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on experience working with Cloud Platforms (AWS, Cloud.gov, Azure etc.)
• Demonstrates expert-level knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and security measures
• Demonstrates expert-level knowledge in infrastructure with code tools with Terraform
• Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve complex technical issues effectively
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to successfully complete and maintain the required federal Public Trust background investigation and suitability determination

Requirements

• Cloud.gov and Azure platforms experience
• Industry certifications like AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Azure Administrator would be a plus
• Proficiency with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Demonstrates expert-level knowledge of DevOps practices and tools is highly valuable in this role
• Experience collaborating directly with clients, engineers, and other technical stakeholders
• Experience supporting government or federal programs
