Role Description

The Google Cloud Consulting Professional Services team guides customers through the moments that matter most in their cloud journey to help businesses thrive. As a Cloud Security Developer, you will:

• Provide excellent technical guidance to customers adopting Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services.
• Provide best practices on secure foundational cloud implementations, automated provisioning of infrastructure and applications, cloud-ready application architectures, and more.
• Ensure customers receive the best of what GCP can offer and have the best experience in migrating, building, modernizing, and maintaining applications in GCP.
• Work closely with Product Management and Product Development to drive excellence in Google Cloud products and features.
• Interact frequently with CIOs, CISOs, CTOs, their staff, and GCP executive leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 6 years of experience architecting, developing, or maintaining secure cloud solutions.
• Experience designing cloud enterprise solutions and supporting customer projects to completion.
• Experience coding in one or more general purpose languages (e.g., Python, Java, Go, C or C++) including data structures, algorithms, and software design.

Requirements

• Experience securing Google Cloud or other cloud environments.
• Experience understanding attacks and mitigation methods in two or more of the following areas:
  • Network protocols and secure network design
  • Web application security
  • Security assessments and pen testing
  • Authentication and access control
  • Applied cryptography and security protocols
  • Security monitoring and intrusion detection
  • Incident response and forensics
  • Development of security tools, automation or frameworks
• Experience in Google Cloud SecOps (Chronicle SIEM/SOAR), including creating detection rules, managing data ingestion and parsing, and performing threat hunting.
• Experience implementing FedRAMP, PCI or HIPAA security requirements in a cloud environment.
• Understanding of Cloud security principles.

Benefits

• The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$216,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.
• Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
• Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
