Role Description

As a C/Pro*C Developer at Gainwell, you can contribute your skills as we harness the power of technology to help our clients improve the health and well-being of the members they serve — a community’s most vulnerable. This role is strictly involved in the development of the product and does not involve access to Protected Health Information (PHI) & Personally Identifiable Information (PII) or any secured/confidential client data. The work is limited to application development and does not include handling or processing of sensitive health information.

Your role in our mission:

• Perform design, development, and testing activities.
• Support the full life cycle of development processes for creating services.
• Investigate and resolve complex business and technical product integration matters of significance.
• Focus on a specific product or family of technologies in multiple platforms.
• Function independently within a business area and assist at the enterprise level to influence technical decisions during various phases of the project.

Qualifications

• Working experience with C, Unix/Linux Systems, Oracle SQL, PL/SQL.
• Ability to code, test, debug, implement, and document programs.
• Experience in modifying company products and/or customer/internal systems to meet client and/or end-user needs.
• Capability to gather information from the system, analyze program and time requirements, and prepare documentation to change existing programs.
• Research and analyze existing systems and program requirements under periodic supervision.

Requirements

• Design programs for projects or enhancements to existing programs.
• Write specifications for programs of low to moderate complexity.
• Assist in resolving production support problems and develop alternative approaches to resolving issues.
• Develop test plans to verify logic of new or modified programs and identify issues as appropriate.
• Create appropriate documentation in work assignments such as program code and technical documentation.
• Conduct quality assurance activities such as peer reviews.
• Expertise in batch job automation and notification services.
• Complex SQL work experience and query tuning expertise.
• Experience working with Member, Managed Care, Provider, Financial, Claims domain is a plus.
