Role Description

This role involves maintaining an important strategic role in the planning, conceptualizing, configuring, and building solutions that solve common challenges within the business by using technological tools or programs.

• Conducts research and requirement gathering to determine customer needs and drive strategy.
• Oversees the development process from an operational perspective.
• Acts as a subject matter expert providing advice, support, and guidance as needed.
• Serves as a mentor to colleagues and must have the ability to be self-sufficient.
• Leads projects and maintains communication with stakeholders during solution development.
• Writes code for software programs and applications, working with classes, using inheritance and virtualization, and following best programming practices.
• Performs complex research and advanced analysis to find/create best solutions to stakeholder requests or problems.
• Identifies the best method or tool to develop solutions.
• Collaborates with and mentors peers on development and solution strategy.
• Conducts regular code reviews and pull requests.
• Partners with the team to identify efficient and effective scalable product solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, related field, or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of experience in the field or in a related area.
• Completion of a technical training program (e.g., LaunchCode, FDM, etc.) may be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
• Healthcare experience a plus.
• Applies basic understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with Object Oriented programming such as Python and C#.
• Web-based application development, Windows-based application development, and HTML/CSS/JavaScript.
• Experience with Business Intelligence Tools, such as Power BI, MicroStrategy, SAS, SQL, or Business Objects a plus.
• Experience with various databases, including MongoDB, SQL Server, Oracle, or Teradata preferred.
