[Hiring] Backend Developer @SplitMetrics

Role Description

We’re looking for the Backend Engineer who’ll join SplitMetrics team and will be working on high-load and data-intensive system.

• Scrape various API’s on an industrial scale (TB’s/day).
• Build backend services using Python, focusing on high-load, data-intensive systems, and optimizing data pipelines and analytics.
• Write and review code for quality, security, and best practices across the backend components.
• Implement automated testing (unit, e2e) and participate in CI/CD processes.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve system stability and performance.

Qualifications

• 4+ years experience with Python, with deep expertise in building high-load, scalable systems.
• Strong SQL skills, including performance tuning and optimization.
• Experience developing microservices, data pipelines, and analytics solutions.
• Familiarity with modern CI/CD practices and tools (GH).
• Ability to refactor legacy code and migrate to modern tech stacks.
• Eager to automate everything (including ad-hoc).
• Strongly focused on system observability and troubleshooting.
• Huge CLI fan.
• Have B1+ English level knowledge.
• Being a macOS / iOS power-user is a huge advantage.
• Experience developing iOS apps is a plus as well (could be a hobby, automated testing is S+).
