[Hiring] Backend Developer @360dialog GmbH

Role Description

You'll join the Messaging Platform team - the core of our product - working on the backend systems that power partner and client APIs, WhatsApp channel lifecycle, billing, integrations, and more. This isn't a ticket-grinding role. You'll own domains, shape architecture, and see the downstream impact of your decisions directly in production.

We work in Python across services that need to be correct, observable, and maintainable - not just fast to ship. You'll work closely with a small, experienced team and a tech-first leadership that values deep understanding over surface-level velocity.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of Python down to the runtime model - async internals, memory, typing, packaging.
• Experience with REST and async APIs, PostgreSQL (schema design, query performance), message queues, workers, and service-to-service integration.
• Ability to take real responsibility for what you ship and understand the business context behind a feature.
• Capability to break down ambiguous problems into scoped, risk-aware iterations.
• Ability to write concise messages and adapt communication based on the audience.
• Genuine curiosity and willingness to share knowledge.

Requirements

• Experience with WhatsApp Business Platform (nice to have).
• Background in B2B SaaS or messaging/communication platforms (nice to have).
• Familiarity with GCP, Cloud SQL, or similar managed infra setups (nice to have).

Budget

The budget range for this role is €40K/YEAR – €100K/YEAR, depending on the candidate’s level of experience and fit with the position requirements.
