[Hiring] AWS Network Architect @CGI

Role Description

We are seeking an experienced AWS Network Architect with strong security expertise to design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available cloud networking solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of AWS networking services, cloud security best practices, and enterprise architecture, with the ability to align technical solutions to business requirements.

• Design and architect secure AWS network infrastructures, including VPCs, subnets, routing, and connectivity solutions
• Implement and manage hybrid connectivity (VPN, Direct Connect) between on-premises and AWS environments
• Develop and enforce network security architectures using AWS services such as Security Groups, NACLs, AWS WAF, Shield, and Network Firewall
• Lead the design and implementation of Zero Trust and least-privilege network access models
• Perform threat modeling, risk assessments, and vulnerability analysis for cloud environments
• Collaborate with security teams to integrate IAM, encryption, and monitoring solutions into network designs
• Optimize network performance, availability, and cost efficiency across AWS environments
• Automate infrastructure deployment using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
• Monitor and troubleshoot network issues using AWS tools like CloudWatch, VPC Flow Logs, and GuardDuty
• Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., CIS, NIST, ISO 27001) and internal security policies
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 7+ years of experience in network architecture and engineering
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud networking
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls, and load balancing
• Experience with AWS networking services (VPC, Transit Gateway, Route 53, ELB, PrivateLink, etc.)
• Deep knowledge of AWS security services and best practices
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Strong understanding of network security principles and cloud security frameworks

Requirements

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or AWS Advanced Networking Specialty
• AWS Certified Security – Specialty
• Experience with multi-account AWS environments and landing zone design
• Knowledge of container networking (EKS, ECS) and microservices architectures
• Familiarity with SIEM, IDS/IPS, and security monitoring tools
• Experience in regulated environments (finance, healthcare, government)
