[Hiring] Associate Developer Experience Engineer @Camunda

Role Description

The Associate Developer Experience Engineer is a role in our newly formed Camunda Ex(perience) team within Camunda's Product Engineering department. In this role, you will play a key part in improving the experience for developers using our Camunda 8 stack.

• Govern APIs, such as the Orchestration Cluster REST API.
• Shape and create development tools for Camunda 8, like native Camunda clients (Java, Typescript, Python, C#) and test libraries (Camunda Process Test).
• Advocate and contribute hands-on to a well-crafted experience that meets the expectations of other developers.
• Utilize technical capabilities, creativity, autonomy, and vision to continuously shape our product for the better.

Your potential impact after 3 months could look like the following:

• Setup automated QA for client artifacts and the system to ensure user-facing guarantees are met.
• Actively contribute to extending an existing SDK for any of the languages being C# or Java.
• Improve existing clients (Java, Typescript) with quality of life improvements.
• Extend our Camunda Spring Boot Starter by implementing one of the open feature requests.

Qualifications

• Ability and/or willingness to use our product.
• Experience writing code in C#, Java, and/or Typescript.
• Ability to work asynchronously with teams and cross-functional groups across time zones.
• Strong sense of “manager of one” - unblocking yourself when able and reaching out for help when needed.

Requirements

• Experience with BPMN products (nice-to-have).
• Python experience (nice-to-have).
