[Hiring] Assistant Vice President, Enterprise Transformation @Lifepoint Health

Role Description

The Assistant Vice President (AVP), Enterprise Transformation – Software Development is responsible for leading the design, development, delivery, and ongoing support of enterprise software solutions that enable large‑scale transformation initiatives across the organization. This role provides strategic and operational leadership for enterprise application development, data engineering, and platform enablement efforts sponsored by the Enterprise Transformation Office.

• Oversees a standardized Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Ensures delivery excellence and provides application support and issue resolution.
• Manages a high‑performing team of application developers and data engineers.
• Serves as a key partner to operational, clinical, technology, and executive stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• Healthcare industry experience required.
• Prior experience leading software development teams required.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in software development, engineering leadership, or enterprise application delivery.
• Proficiency in programming languages like Python, SQL, and/or Typescript for building applications.
• Proven ability to translate broad business concepts into effective and scalable data solutions.
• Experience in developing data models and performing data analysis.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional development initiatives in large, matrixed organizations.
• Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies (Agile, Scrum, DevOps, or hybrid models).

Requirements

• Master’s degree (MBA, MS, or equivalent) preferred.
• Experience developing enterprise platforms, analytics-enabled applications, or data engineering solutions preferred.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, modern application architectures, and integration frameworks preferred.
• Experience supporting production enterprise applications in a regulated environment preferred.
