Role Description
The "HHS Tiers Systems Analyst" is responsible for analyzing, maintaining, and supporting the "Texas Integrated Eligibility and Referral System (TIERS)" applications used within HHS. Key responsibilities include:
- Troubleshooting system issues
- Gathering user requirements
- Testing updates
- Ensuring smooth operation for staff and beneficiaries accessing various social services programs through the TIERS platform
The Systems Analyst III performs and supports enrollment related Texas Integrated Eligibility Redesign System (TIERS) project activities by Medicaid and CHIP Services (MCS) business areas. This position involves:
- Overseeing daily operations and activities with all MCS requested TIERS business updates or enhancements using the agile process
- Performing project administration tasks for multiple projects
- Providing advanced consultative services and technical assistance to program staff, governmental agencies, and vendor staff
- Analyzing managed care data including Medicaid/CHIP eligibility, premium payments, and encounter data to resolve issues
The Systems Analyst III should possess the ability to:
- Identify problems and develop and communicate recommended options and solutions to operational issues
- Formulate responses to requests from both internal and external stakeholders
This position requires minimal supervision with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. The ideal candidate will thrive in an environment that emphasizes:
