Role Description
Looking for a Staff Data Role where you will head up a major infrastructure migration from Spark to Databricks, and influence the technical direction of the company's data strategy while working on a SaaS platform that enables millions of children to learn every day.
- End-to-end implementation of Databricks across enterprise-level data infrastructure
- Guiding more junior Data Engineers on best practices and architecture
- Influencing the technical direction of the data strategy at the highest levels of the business
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with DataBricks, EMR, and DMS
- Knowledge of the AWS stack as a whole
- Wizard-level skills in Python and SQL for building ETL
- Experience with migration from one data platform to another (ideally from Spark)
- Understanding of modern best practices for Data quality and governance
- Proven technical leadership experience
- Excellent soft skills with experience managing internal and external stakeholders

- Fully remote position
