Role Description
We are looking for a highly skilled Software Engineer with deep expertise in SQL, data manipulation, and database technologies to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience writing complex queries, optimizing database performance, and working with both relational and non-relational databases. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining data-driven applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions.
- Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, including advanced features like window functions, CTEs (Common Table Expressions), and performance tuning.
- Work with BigQuery and other cloud-based data warehouses to process and analyze large datasets efficiently.
- Design and implement data models for both relational and non-relational databases.
- Utilize data visualization and tabulation tools (e.g., Looker, Looker Studio) to present insights in a clear and actionable manner.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate databases with backend services and applications.
- Use Git for version control, following best practices in code collaboration and CI/CD workflows.
- Troubleshoot and debug database-related issues to ensure high availability and performance.
Qualifications
- Expert-level SQL proficiency, with experience in advanced querying techniques (window functions, CTEs, query optimization).
- Strong experience with BigQuery.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (Looker, Looker Studio, Tableau, or similar).
- Proficient in Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with large-scale datasets.
