Role Description

This role involves leading technology architecture strategies for Client Platforms in the Pharma sector.

Define the technical architecture strategy for Client Platforms
Establish and govern reference architectures, best practices, and technology standards across full-stack web applications, APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures
Ensure scalability, security, and high availability across all technology platforms
Architect enterprise-scale data platforms, including data lakes, data mesh, and real-time analytics solutions tailored for Pharma commercial data
Lead the strategy for GenAI/AI-enabled architectures, including LLMs, AI/ML models, embedding AI into Pharma applications, and AI-driven insights for HCP & patient engagement
Ensure scalability and reliability of AI and GenAI solutions
Factor in cost optimization from the ground up, to ensure long term commercial scalability
Define cloud strategy across Azure & GCP, ensuring a hybrid, multi-cloud, and edge computing approach
Oversee adoption of containerization (Kubernetes), serverless computing, and API-first architectures
Drive cost optimization, resilience, and security best practices for cloud infrastructure through FinOps principles
Act as a design authority, ensuring engineering teams adhere to architectural principles, patterns, and technology roadmaps
Define technology enablement frameworks, providing reusable components, APIs, and cloud automation to accelerate software development
Partner with Enterprise Architecture to ensure alignment with business strategy and technology governance in a federated model
Establish a decentralized but standardized architecture model, enabling domain-driven design while ensuring reusability and interoperability
Define technology roadmaps, balancing global consistency with localized business needs
Lead a high-performing team of architects across application, data, cloud, and AI domains
Partner with Product, Engineering, and Business Leaders to align technology with Pharma commercial strategy and product roadmaps
Act as a trusted advisor to C-level executives, translating technical vision into business impact
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define AI and GenAI project requirements, ensuring successful implementation
Work closely with senior leadership to communicate the value and impact of AI and GenAI architecture strategies

Qualifications

15+ years of technology leadership experience, with expertise in Pharma commercial technology, SaaS platforms, and AI/GenAI solutions
5+ years of architecture experience
ITIL
Strong experience with Azure & GCP cloud-native architectures, including microservices, API-led integration, and event driven design
Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman) and ability to operate in a federated model
Experience in FinOps and cloud cost optimization strategies
Azure Certifications (Must have)
