Role Description
As a Software Engineer in Test on our Video Streaming team, you will build and maintain automation tests and tools in our video streaming testing suite. By proactively addressing critical challenges such as latency, scalability, and interoperability, you’ll help position our video infrastructure ahead of the competition and open doors to future opportunities. Your work will ensure the reliability and quality of our streaming technology, serving more than 600 million users across the globe.
- Collaborate with the Video team to gather test automation needs and solve application errors.
- Build, document, and maintain an end-to-end testing framework.
- Identify application weaknesses and review bug reports to highlight problem areas and opportunities for new testing.
- Define, apply & maintain effective automation design standards and practices with the objectives of maximizing reusability and maintainability.
- Escalate critical bugs and work with developers to prioritize fixes.
- Create and maintain test & engineering documentation.
Qualifications
- Professional experience testing video streaming applications (e.g., live video, VOD, WebRTC, RTMP, HLS).
- An innate ability to analyze web applications and identify weaknesses to be tested.
- Experience testing applications both manually and with automation.
- Fully owning all projects you take on or that are assigned to you, working independently with little to no assistance from other team members.
- A passion for troubleshooting, problem-solving, and finding bugs.
