Role Description

As a Senior Snowflake Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing cloud-based data solutions using Snowflake. You will play a key role in managing data pipelines, ensuring efficient data warehousing, and enabling seamless integration with AWS, Azure, and BI tools. Your expertise in ETL/ELT processes, query optimization, and automation will be crucial in delivering high-performance data solutions. This role is ideal for engineers who are passionate about cloud data platforms, automation, and building scalable analytics solutions.

  • Design and implement scalable Snowflake solutions for data warehousing, analytics, and reporting.
  • Develop and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using tools like Matillion, dbt, and Airflow to ensure efficient data processing.
  • Leverage Snowflake Tasks, Streams, and stored procedures for workflow automation and data management.
  • Work with Snowpark (Python/Scala) to develop custom data transformation solutions.
  • Optimize query performance by implementing indexing, partitioning, and best practices for data modeling.
  • Ensure data security by applying role-based access control (RBAC), encryption, and compliance standards.
  • Integrate Snowflake with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker) for seamless analytics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions and provide data-driven insights.
  • Maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and version control in a cloud environment.

Qualifications

  • SnowPro Core Certification (must-have).
  • SnowPro Advanced: Architect Certification (preferred).
  • Proven experience in Snowflake architecture, development, and automation.
  • Strong expertise in SQL, Python, and/or Scala for data processing and analytics.
  • Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT pipeline development using Matillion, dbt, Fivetran, or Airflow.
  • Deep understanding of cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their integration with Snowflake.
  • Experience in query performance tuning, data modeling, and optimization techniques.
  • Knowledge of security best practices, including RBAC, encryption, and compliance frameworks.
  • Familiarity with BI and analytics tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Looker.
  • Experience in Agile development, DevOps, and CI/CD pipeline management.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
