Role Description

This role involves building the backend of our Data Platform services processing Petabytes of data per day.

Development of new functionalities of the Security Data Lake product
Lead features/epics and inspire others technically
Impact how customers leverage our Security Data Lake platform for threat hunting and intelligence solutions
Handle everything related to data ingestion and processing
Work on new functionalities and cost/performance goals for processing large amounts of data

What will you do?

Software Development (70-80% of time)
Lead implementations of new specifications
Write tests to cover new code or newly found issues
Implement with consistent coding patterns focusing on stability and security
Review Code and raise quality, stability, and security of the entire team codebase
Provide guidance and meaningful feedback
Build and Review Technical Specifications
Document trade-offs in solutions/implementations
Deeply understand architecture of Ingestion pipelines and connected features
Architect end-to-end solutions for complex features
Support/On-Call Rotation
Respond/troubleshoot to outage incidents
Help team members solve problems

Qualifications

Passionate about building high-scale elegant and simple distributed systems
Enjoy collaborative development processes using design discussions and code review
Looking for technical challenges of ingesting and processing petabytes of data daily
Enjoy writing modern Java or Scala, Go, Python
Hands-on experience with Kafka or similar on large scale solutions
Solid foundation on building ingestion pipelines
Ability to identify relevant improvements/solutions in literature
Deep understanding of technology trade-offs and costs of different options
