Role Description
We are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to develop, optimize, and maintain the web-based interfaces of Eternal’s innovative platform. In this role, you’ll ensure members have seamless access to personalized insights, coaching, and diagnostic data—helping them reach their full potential in health and wellness.
- Design and implement high-quality web experiences using modern frontend frameworks (React, Next, Angular, or Vue).
- Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and accessibility across various devices.
- Work closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to translate requirements into captivating member experiences.
- Write clean, reusable, and testable code; conduct code reviews to uphold standards and mentor junior developers.
- Connect with RESTful or GraphQL APIs to deliver seamless data and feature integrations.
- Stay current with evolving frontend technologies and frameworks, proactively suggesting improvements to elevate our member offerings.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software development experience with a focus on frontend technologies (JavaScript/TypeScript).
- Proficiency in at least one modern UI framework: React, Angular, or Vue.
- Understanding of state management, component-based architecture, and application performance optimization.
- Experience integrating with RESTful or GraphQL APIs.
- Familiarity with frontend tooling such as Webpack, Babel, or similar build systems.
- Knowledge of testing frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Jest, Cypress) and CI/CD practices.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with a passion for delivering impactful member experiences.
Requirements
- Knowledge of design systems, accessibility guidelines (WCAG), and responsive design best practices.
- Experience building frontend applications in Next/React.
- Experience integrating with RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with the health and wellness tech industry or fitness/health data APIs.
