[Hiring] Senior Engineering Manager, Infrastructure @Engine
Mar 27, 2025 - Engine is hiring a remote Senior Engineering Manager, Infrastructure. 💸 Salary: $190,000 to $230,000, plus equity. 📍Location: USA.
Role Description
Your Mission:
The Engine Infrastructure and Security (InfraSec) group is working to provide a cloud ecosystem where building new services or environments is automatic and economical for the business, and where integrated cloud services create leverage, velocity, and quality for our engineers. As the Senior Engineering Manager for the Infrastructure Systems team, you will lead the design, delivery, and operation of cloud environments, service infrastructure, build/deploy, and ecosystem services.
- Responsible for hiring, mentoring, and empowering a high-performing team of engineers
- Drive technical excellence
- Ensure scalable and reliable infrastructure that accelerates development across the organization
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience as a software engineer, infrastructure engineer, or DevOps engineer
- At least 3 years leading and managing software development or infrastructure teams
- Proven ability to hire, coach, and develop engineers while driving high performance through effective feedback and performance management
- Strong experience organizing and leading agile software development processes
- Skilled in defining and maintaining a technical roadmap
Requirements
- Proficiency with Terraform and familiarity with declarative frameworks such as CloudFormation, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, or Pulumi
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes for managing and orchestrating containerized applications
- Knowledge of logging, monitoring, metrics, and alerting systems to ensure system reliability and performance
- Understanding of data organization, partitioning, storage, retrieval, and leveraging automation tools for orchestration
- Experience working with build, deploy, and artifact management tools to support efficient software delivery pipelines
- Familiarity with security systems, data governance, and compliance frameworks (Bonus)

Cash Compensation
The base salary range for this role is $190,000 to $230,000. Final compensation packages are determined by various factors, including prior experience and expertise. This role is also eligible to receive equity compensation.
