Role Description
Your role includes:
- Work alongside other security engineers to gain familiarity with the organisation’s processes and technologies and further build your security and software skills.
- Work with software development and platform teams to help them deliver and maintain secure products using modern technologies, building credibility and trust with them.
- Champion security best practices and run security consultations / training sessions.
- Trial new technologies and pave the way for their adoption.
- Support existing security tooling and evaluate new tools as they become available.
- Manage risk-based vulnerability, balancing security, customer, and business needs, and communicate these risks to the business.
Qualifications
- Adaptability and commitment to continuous learning and self-development.
- Motivated team player who is delivery focused and can suggest solutions for improvement.
- Great communicator, able to clearly articulate security risks and improvements to various stakeholders.
- Good security knowledge and enthusiasm for software security.
- Understanding of common software vulnerabilities and ability to describe them to different audiences.
- Some experience developing code and working in a cloud native environment.
Requirements
- Experience in a fintech environment or similar upscale organisation (nice to have).
- Familiarity with Azure, .NET, and Kubernetes (beneficial but not essential).
- Experience with similar coding languages / cloud providers (beneficial).
- Experience with enterprise technologies such as Databricks, Power BI, etc. (beneficial but not essential).
