Role Description
Rocket Software is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to develop and support IMS performance and monitoring products for IBM z/OS mainframes.
- Become a highly valued technical expert working on one or more products with the support of a globally distributed team of engineering experts.
- Find opportunities for creative collaboration with peers through enhancements to the world-class portfolio of IMS performance and monitoring products.
- Leverage new approaches and technologies to drive efforts to modernize and influence product direction.
- Have a background in mainframe product development and support.
- Be eager to learn new things and share knowledge with others.
Qualifications
- High Level Assembler (HLASM) language skills.
- Highly desirable skills include C, DTL, REXX, and familiarity with IMS performance and monitoring products.
- Previous experience working on performance or monitoring products is a plus.
Requirements
- Expertise in software engineering principles.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
