Role Description

This role involves designing and implementing Open Telemetry-based instrumentation across various platforms.

• Design and implement Open Telemetry-based instrumentation across microservices, APIs, and infrastructure to enable full-stack observability.
• Integrate and optimize Prometheus for metrics collection, storage, and alerting, ensuring high performance and reliability.
• Work with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) to monitor containerized workloads, optimize resource usage, and troubleshoot performance issues.
• Integrate observability data with Splunk for centralized log analysis, correlation, and incident response.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define telemetry standards, troubleshoot performance issues, and improve monitoring coverage.

Qualifications

• Prometheus, Open Telemetry - 7 years of experience
• Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) - 7 years of experience
• Splunk - 5 years of experience

Benefits

• The annual salary for this position is between $95,000 to $107,000 yearly depending on experience and other qualifications.
• This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
