Role Description
Our client is currently seeking a .Net Developer for the Division of Enterprise and Technology Services, Application Services Branch. This team is responsible for the daily administration of three state administered retirement systems with over $24.9 billion in combined assets. These systems have a membership of approximately 421,000 state and local government employees in the State of Kentucky.
- Performs the design, development, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of complex software within this division's Line of Business (LOB) application, specifically in the areas of Health Insurance and Correspondence.
- Analyzes user requests and works with Business Analysts to understand requirements and deliver technical solutions.
- Performs complex production support and problem resolution in all functional areas of LOB for web and batch processing applications.
- Provides cross-functional technical advice and assistance to Application Developers, Business Analysts, and Database Administrators to aid in developing and implementing custom code.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Five (5) years of experience as a .NET Programmer – Senior role
- Extensive knowledge of Visual Studio, Team Foundation Server, and SQL Server Management software
- Strong background in VB.NET
- Solid problem-solving skills with a proven ability to manage and troubleshoot complex systems and workflows
- Analytical skills and attention to detail
- Good time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of the intricacies of Health Insurance processing
- Knowledge of batch processing, preferably as applicable to correspondence and agency communications
