Role Description
We are seeking a skilled and visionary Fulfillment Engineering Manager to lead a team of talented engineers in revolutionizing our fulfillment systems. This role involves driving innovation and transformation across core areas, including:
- Order Management (OMS)
- Inventory Management
- Warehouse Management (WMS)
- Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
In this role, you will oversee the development, support, and optimization of solutions that streamline fulfillment operations, enhance the fulfillment experience, and deliver measurable business impact. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, team leadership, and strategic planning. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, product, and algorithms, to design and implement scalable systems that meet the demands of a rapidly evolving business landscape.

- Manage, mentor, and inspire a team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and growth.
- Define priorities and deliverables for projects that optimize fulfillment systems, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Partner with product managers, operations, and algorithms teams to continuously improve fulfillment processes and customer delivery experiences.
- Ensure system reliability, scalability, and performance, minimizing disruptions to daily operations.
- Drive initiatives to modernize fulfillment systems, improve workflows, and reduce inefficiencies.
- Act as a key point of contact for stakeholders, providing updates on team progress, challenges, and milestones.
- Find, hire, and develop people that complement each other as a diverse, inclusive team.
- Facilitate technical design discussions, remove blockers, and align stakeholders.
- Inspire an atmosphere of continuous improvement by serving as a coach, mentor, and technical advisor.
Qualifications
- Experience with warehouse management systems, order management systems, transportation management systems, distribution center software, or similar solutions.
- 3+ years of experience building and scaling real-time solutions, including 1-2+ years managing high-performing engineering teams.
- Experience leading distributed teams across multiple time zones is a strong plus.
- Proven track record of delivering impactful, customer-focused solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Extensive hands-on experience with one of the widely used programming languages, such as Golang, Java, or similar.
- Passionate about mentoring team members and supporting their professional growth.
- Prioritize clear, honest communication and build strong, collaborative teams based on trust and autonomy.
- Excel at setting and communicating clear priorities to your team and cross-functional partners.
- Flexible, pragmatic, and committed to building high-quality solutions that meet user needs.
- Experience refining development processes to improve team efficiency and outcomes.

This role will receive a competitive salary, benefits, and equity. The salary for US-based employees hired into this role will be aligned with the range below, which includes our three geographic areas. A variety of factors are considered when determining someone’s compensation–including a candidate’s professional background, experience, location, and performance.
Salary Range: $157,800 — $232,000 USD
