Role Description
We are looking for the next Engineering Manager to join our Product and Engineering Team. This Engineering Leader will partner closely with Product leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to solve member, customer, and business needs while driving increased member engagement and positive outcomes toward fertility and family-forming journeys globally.
- Guide the performance and careers of your engineers
- Manage the team’s execution of our roadmap
- Ensure clear communication and collaboration with the product team and stakeholders
- Provide technical direction and support the team with technical expertise
- Contribute hands-on when needed
- Own the delivery of strategic efforts, balancing hands-on execution with delegation
- Contribute to shaping our Engineering organization’s evolution
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in an engineering management capacity
- 2+ years of experience in a Senior-level Engineer IC capacity
- Thrive in leading through complexity and ambiguity
- Comfortable interfacing across an organization and collaborating closely with various functions
- Build strong relationships and trust among your team and cross-functionally
- Celebrate your team and provide feedback to teammates
- Take pride in our mission: fertility care for all
Requirements
- Understand that there is not a one-size-fits-all decision engine for how we build Carrot’s product
- Excited to contribute to products from the ground up
- Understand that varying personalities and backgrounds will represent engineering competencies and principles in different ways
