Role Description
This role will allow you to shape cutting-edge AI/ML solutions and be part of an ambitious team aiming to decarbonise Aotearoa. This is your chance to contribute to transformative projects, where you’ll be making an impact in ways that truly matter.
- Design, build, and deliver cutting-edge machine learning prototypes
- Collaborate with technical leads and the broader Data team
- Implement impactful AI and Machine Learning solutions
Qualifications
- Experience designing and deploying data pipelines and AI/ML solutions in complex environments
- Programming skills (ideally in Python) and experience with ML frameworks and libraries
- Practical expertise in implementing and optimising AI/ML pipelines
- Strong technical analysis and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve data issues
- Knowledge of source control (Git), SDLC processes, contemporary tools, practices, and expectations as applicable to data and ML engineering contexts
- Data transformation (ETL/ELT) experience using a range of structured and unstructured sources to create data fit for diverse use cases
- Experience designing and deploying batch systems
- Experience in data quality system design and operation
- Having worked with open-source data and cloud platforms/services (preferably AWS, Spark)
Requirements
- Bonus points for experience in DataOps, Linux/Windows administration, and security
