Role Description
As a Back-End Developer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and high-performance back-end systems.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable APIs and microservices using JavaScript and Python.
- Implement RESTful and GraphQL APIs that efficiently handle large-scale data transactions.
- Experience deploying and monitoring apps and microservices in the cloud, preferably Google Cloud, but others fine too.
- Optimize server-side logic and database interactions to improve response times and system efficiency.
- Work with authentication and authorization mechanisms, including OAuth, JWT, and API key security.
- Develop real-time communication services using WebSockets and message queues.
- Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
- Deploy, manage, and optimize applications on cloud platforms.
- Containerize applications using Docker and orchestrate services using Kubernetes.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure system uptime and performance.
- Enhance system scalability by leveraging serverless computing, load balancing, and caching strategies.
- Work with LLMs, implementing fine-tuning, deployment, and inference optimizations.
- Develop AI-driven features such as chatbots, recommendation systems, or text processing pipelines.
- Optimize LLM performance by leveraging vector databases and embedding techniques.
- Implement MLOps practices to streamline AI model deployment and monitoring.
- Collaborate with teams to integrate model outputs into production applications.
- Design and maintain ETL pipelines to process, clean, and transform data efficiently.
- Manage and optimize SQL and NoSQL databases, ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval.
- Develop and maintain data streaming solutions for real-time processing.
- Implement data governance and compliance measures, ensuring data privacy and security best practices.
- Continuously analyze and optimize system performance, reducing latency and improving scalability.
- Monitor application health, perform root cause analysis, and troubleshoot system issues.
- Implement caching mechanisms to enhance application speed.
- Ensure high availability and fault tolerance through robust system design and testing.
- Work closely with various team members to develop integrated solutions.
- Participate in Agile development processes, contributing to sprint planning, code reviews, and documentation.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends, bringing innovative ideas to the team.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in back-end development.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript (Node.js) and Python.
- Experience with DevOps tools.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms.
- Experience working with LLMs.
- Proficiency in data engineering.
- Understanding of security best practices for back-end applications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in an agile environment.
