[Hiring] Transportation Sales Manager @Exol

Role Description

The Manager, Transportation Sales, is an individual contributor, quota-carrying role responsible for selling outbound transportation services to Exol's existing and prospective warehousing and fulfillment customers. You will own a book of business and pipeline of transportation opportunities, working closely with the core Sales organization to attach transportation to warehousing deals and grow revenue within existing accounts. You will support the go-to-market strategy for bundled transportation offerings, personally manage strategic and named accounts, and help build the sales function as the business scales. This position reports to the Sr. Director, Transportation Sales.

What you’ll do

• Own a personal transportation revenue quota, prospecting for and closing opportunities within Exol’s existing and prospective warehousing customer base.
• Define and execute a go-to-market strategy for bundled transportation offerings and help build the transportation sales function as the business scales.
• Partner with Sales Account Executives to identify and attach transportation services to new and existing warehousing opportunities.
• Build, maintain, and accurately forecast a healthy pipeline of transportation opportunities.
• Evaluate customer shipping profiles and translate business requirements into compelling, appropriately structured transportation proposals.
• Collaborate with Solutions Engineering, Pricing, carriers, and transportation partners to develop competitive, profitable, and operationally viable solutions.
• Coordinate Operations to support a smooth handoff of closed business and provide customer and market feedback that informs transportation strategy, sales playbooks, and team education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• Minimum 8 years of B2B sales experience with a background spanning 3PL/warehousing, carrier and freight brokerage relationships, and TMS (Transportation Management System) experience.
• Experience in managing transportation revenue quotes, managing new and existing warehousing accounts
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment with significant ownership and ambiguity.
• Position to be based within driving distance to one of the following areas: Perris, CA, Wilmer, TX, Wilmington, IL & Jackson, GA

Requirements

• Up to 30% travel may be required.
• Employees must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations.
• The employee is responsible for owning a credit card and managing expenses personally to be reimbursed on a bi-weekly basis.
