Role Description
The Territory Manager, Non-Acute remote Canada base role, is responsible for growing revenue and managing the existing business within the assigned territories of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. The role develops opportunities with customers, distributors, and other channel partners, builds strong stakeholder relationships, and delivers solutions aligned with customer needs and BDβs commercial objectives.
This remote-based role requires the successful candidate to reside near a major airport to facilitate travel across Canada, with travel up to 20%.
Job Responsibilities:

Manage business through a combination of direct customer engagement and distributor-led sales execution.

Achieve assigned revenue and growth targets by managing existing business and developing new sales opportunities.

Develop and execute against territory plan aligned with BDβs commercial and marketing strategies.

Build productive, long-term relationships with customers, distributors, and other channel partners.

Identify customer needs and develop mutually beneficial solutions aligned with customer and BD objectives.

Build, maintain, and advance a qualified pipeline of opportunities aligned with territory priorities.

Protect existing business by maintaining strong customer relationships and monitoring competitive activity.

Apply Strategic Account Planning principles to prioritize customers and identify growth opportunities.

Provide accurate territory forecasts and maintain current opportunity, customer, and activity information.

Support customer quotation, proposal, tender, and contract activities as applicable.

Identify and assess new channels, customer, and partnership opportunities.

Develop and maintain strong clinical, technical, and competitive knowledge across the assigned portfolio.

Monitor customer needs, market trends, and competitive activity, sharing actionable insights with internal stakeholders.

Collaborate with the Non-Acute team, Business Units, Marketing, and other internal partners.

Apply the BD Way of Selling and use approved commercial tools and resources consistently.

Conduct all business in accordance with BDβs Code of Conduct, policies, and applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications

College or University degree required; Business or medical-based studies would be considered an asset.

Minimum of two yearsβ experience in the MedTech and/or medical device industry in sales or related roles required.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in selling to Non-Acute environments (e.g., clinics, home care, retail pharmacy, biotech/pharma) and through distribution partners preferred.

Previous experience selling remotely considered an asset.

Experience with Salesforce.com will be considered a strong asset.
