Role Description
We are looking for a competitive Territory Business Manager to develop sales strategies and attract new clients. The successful salesperson will identify new sales opportunities and close sales to achieve quotas. They will play a key role in increasing revenue by managing and negotiating with clients, generating leads, qualifying prospects, and managing sales of products and services. Here you will make an impact by:

Managing the Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and western TN territory to drive and support growth with Neogen Food Safety Products.

Implementing and executing on business priorities.

Delivering on financial and forecast expectations.

Conducting business planning to drive growth with direct, indirect (channel), Key Accounts and focused market segments.

Developing sales strategies and adjusting to meet changing market and competitive conditions for complex product lines and working cross-functionally with other business disciplines.
Other Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

Independently managing and growing business within a set geography.

Closing and growing sales through professional communication with existing and potential clients.

Identifying and resolving client concerns; recommending a course of action to alleviate these concerns in the future.

Expanding market awareness of our products and our industry experience by communicating features and benefits of our products and services effectively.

Maintaining records of customer communications and contact information as required.

Making technical presentations and webinars.

Preparing responses to RFP (request for proposals) and RFI (request for information).

Attending and participating in trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events.

Working knowledge of price calculations.
-
Researching market requirements and market data.
-
Maintaining knowledge of competitor products and identifying and reporting intelligence on competitor pricing or marketing strategies.

Maintaining current Neogen product knowledge.
-
Demonstrating and explaining best practices in installation techniques for all Neogen products.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology, Science or Sales is preferred.

Successful history of time and territory management.

Successful sales performance and territory track record of meeting/exceeding forecast.

Attention to detail and critical thinking.

Experience using SalesForce.com or other Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.

Experience with "Solution Selling" methodologies.
-
Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office.
